Our Story
Discover how Betfrika was born and developed over the years to become a major player in education and social development in Europe and Africa.

Betfrika was created following a refusal of the status quo; help, innovate towards development.
The association was created in 2019 by a group of international students, migrants in Europe facing the structure of social, educational and financial systems. The idea of creating the organization therefore became relevant.
An organization to innovate and implement sustainable change
Originally, the name decided for the organization was "Better Africa" which later became Betfrika. The organization's area of intervention was Togo; And all together, the founders were invested in education, hence the initiation of the "Book education" project. Subsequently, during work sessions, it was found imminent to expand the organization's purpose to several areas of action as well as to a larger geographical area given that West African countries share the same realities.
Better education to educate us. Rethought agriculture to better feed us, a sustainable environment to live in a more ecological setting and culture valued, popularized with a view to safeguarding our intangible heritage.
Project
Book Education
In West Africa, students read very little. It's a vicious circle whose origin is difficult to identify.
Due to lack of infrastructure and books, young people don't develop the habit of reading. And because they read so little, demand remains low, which hampers investment in new reading spaces.
Project
First Aid skills
In many West African schools, a simple illness, injury or accident can become dramatic due to lack of available first aid. Schools often have neither appropriate kits nor teachers trained to intervene quickly.
schools need life-saving gestures.
