An educational, immersive program designed to raise young people's awareness of Togo's natural and cultural treasures. By combining exploration, traditions and learning, we aim to build a lasting bond between youth and their environment.

DISCOVER
Many West Africans have never seen an elephant

An overlooked natural heritage
In Togo, many young people ignore the existence and importance of flagship species in their ecosystem, such as lions or warthogs.

Biodiversity under threat
Natural habitats are heavily degraded by human activity, endangering local wildlife and plant richness.

A break with cultural heritage
This lack of awareness of biodiversity creates a break with cultural heritage, ancestral stories and traditions rooted in nature.

A barrier to engagement
Without deep awareness of their ecosystem, the next generation struggles to engage actively in protecting and valuing its biodiversity.

We believe an aware youth is the key to preserving biodiversity. With Future Generation, it's not just about talking about nature but living it fully. This project goes beyond a simple excursion: it's a structured educational program that combines exploration, cultural transmission and ecological commitment.
Field exploration: visits to natural sites, reserves and forests to directly observe local species.
Educational activities: science and culture workshops tailored to youth.
Cultural transmission: integrating stories, legends and symbols linked to nature.
Concrete engagement: tree planting, species monitoring, local protection actions.
Pre-survey phase: our team conducts targeted research to shape the excursion and adapt it to university students' needs.

2026
We can't set up an excursion of this scale without knowing where students really stand. Before any outing, we run a biodiversity knowledge survey to assess their level. This preliminary step lets us tailor the excursion, target gaps and ensure every participant gains concrete, useful learning.
8-day excursion
We plan an immersive eight-day excursion combining theory and practice. The final length may change depending on survey results to guarantee a program truly tailored to students.
This initiative is exclusively for African students
This initiative is dedicated to African students. It gives them a unique chance to experience their biodiversity firsthand, deepen their knowledge and become the voice of a generation aware and committed to protecting its natural and cultural heritage.
Coming soon: an extension to the We Warn We Act community
All Betfrika community members will be able to join the excursion when it expands. This program, initially national, will become global but remain reserved for the We Warn We Act community.
Assess students' level of knowledge about biodiversity.
An outing combining exploration, workshops and cultural transmission.
Replication and adaptation in several West African countries.
The program opens to We Warn We Act members, adding a global dimension.
We plan to organize an event that lets you discover the fascinating animals living right near us in our country that we've never seen—and we need your opinion! Imagine observing creatures you've only heard about in books or on TV… Interested?
