Want to take concrete action in West Africa? Our international volunteer program opens soon. Discover the missions and profiles we seek.

The adventure starts here. Betfrika e.V. is about to open wide the doors of its international volunteer program, an initiative that will allow people from around the world to join our actions on the ground in West Africa, France, and Germany. Want to discover new cultures, learn useful skills, and contribute concretely to projects that change lives? Then get ready: the launch is near, and we cannot wait to welcome you into our big family committed to a better Africa.

In the coming months we will officially reveal dates, application procedures, and the first missions available. Meanwhile, this article gives you the essentials to prepare, understand what it means to be a volunteer with Betfrika, and see why this experience can transform how you view the world—and yourself.

For us, international volunteering is far more than a trip abroad. It is immersion in a local reality, a chance to learn by doing, and a concrete way to contribute to sustainable projects built with communities. Depending on the mission, the commitment can take different forms, with a minimum duration around six weeks for field assignments and potentially longer formats in Europe (up to a year), subject to confirmation.

We are also structuring this program with recognized actors in volunteering and international mobility, with expected partnerships with France Volontaires and AIESEC. Exact details (framework, steps, criteria, schedule) will be shared at the official opening of applications, but the goal is clear: a serious, supervised path that is useful in the field and enriching for every volunteer.

We are looking for curious, open-minded people ready to commit. Profiles are varied. We need cultural facilitators to organize workshops and events, educators to support pedagogical projects in rural schools, agronomists or agriculture enthusiasts to back our agroecology initiatives, livestock specialists or people interested in sustainable breeding, communicators to showcase our work, logisticians to improve field organization, and committed citizens motivated to help, learn, and share—like in the school projects highlighted by Nikoué’s story.

Each mission will be supervised by our on-site team and tailored to your skills. You will not be alone—support will be provided from your arrival and throughout your experience. To understand who makes up the team and our spirit, take a look at our portrait: “We Who Make Up Betfrika.”

Betfrika keeps growing. After our presence in France and Germany, we are preparing to expand to new European horizons. In 2026, we plan to open offices in Switzerland and Belgium, further extending our support network and action possibilities. This expansion will let more volunteers join us and our projects reach more communities.

The coming weeks will be decisive. Stay connected, get ready, and be prepared to seize this great opportunity. The Betfrika adventure awaits, and we cannot wait to write it with you.

See you very soon for the big announcement!
