Once the books are collected in Europe, the longest part of the journey begins. Several thousand kilometres separate the European warehouses from the African schools waiting for these books — and that journey has a cost.

The Logistics Fund finances precisely this stage: shipping containers, dispatch formalities, customs fees, loading operations and final delivery to partner schools.

Before they are sent, the books must be sorted, classified and packed to withstand transport. The Fund covers this upstream preparation work: selecting titles suited to school audiences, boxing, labelling and handling.
